How to migrate from Ali Reviews to Imagyn Reviews
Imagyn's Ali Reviews adapter is built against Ali Reviews' own documented CSV import template. It has not yet been verified against a live Ali Reviews account export.
Who this is for: For a Shopify merchant currently using Ali Reviews who wants to switch review platforms without losing existing customer feedback.
What migrates
- Star rating and review text
- Customer name and country
- The product a review belongs to, matched by handle
- Publish date, where provided
- A single image link, where provided
What does not migrate
- A review title, since Ali Reviews' own template does not include one
- Reviewer email or a verified purchase claim, since Ali Reviews' own template does not include either
- Multiple photos per review, since the documented template carries only one image link
Step by step
Export from Ali Reviews
In your Ali Reviews admin, use its export feature to download your reviews as a CSV file.
Upload to Imagyn
In Imagyn's Import and Migration settings, choose Ali Reviews as the source and upload the file.
Check the detected columns
Confirm or correct the column mapping before continuing.
Review the full preview
See matched, unmatched and duplicate counts before anything is committed.
Import and verify
Confirm the import. The batch is recorded in your import history and can be undone later.
The details that matter
Verification
Ali Reviews' own template has no verification column at all, so an imported review carries no verification claim of any kind unless you add one yourself in the file before importing. It never becomes an Imagyn Verified Buyer review automatically.
Duplicate handling
Duplicate protection matches the product, reviewer and review content together, since Ali Reviews' template has no stable per review identifier.
Product matching
Rows are matched by product handle, the only structured product reference the template provides.
Customer matching
Customer name and country are stored exactly as exported.
Media handling
The single image link is validated and referenced directly, never rehosted.
Publication status
Choose to preserve each row's own status, import everything as approved, or hold everything for moderation.
Troubleshooting
Why is my review missing a title after import?
Ali Reviews' own export format does not include a review title field, so this is not something Imagyn can recover. The review content itself still imports in full.
